NATASHA WALSH

For Walsh, the creative act is ultimately an attempt to manifest conscious understanding in the present, before it moves into the past. This is impossible for two reasons that she explores in her work. The first is that the artists primary intention is not fixed in the work. It is constantly reinterpreted and thus the meaning, like a living being, moves away from its primary intention. The second is that the manifested bodies of these thoughts have their own lifespan; as their materials physically move and decay over time.
